Greenhouse co-director Finn Arne Jørgensen will be giving a public lecture on Thursday, 12 September, 18-19:30 at the Stavanger maritime museum titled “Natur på boks”. He will be presenting the manifold images of nature – from birds to beavers, mountains to seas – included on the labels of sardine/brisling cans produced in Stavanger. He will discuss how nature was deployed as a symbol of quality for the 20th-century consumer.
