Welcome to the official launch of The Greenhouse, the environmental humanities initiative at University of Stavanger. We will meet in Hulda Garborgs hus at the UiS campus, room HG P-220, on Friday, September 22, 12:30-14:00.
The program will be:
- Welcome message by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Education, Elaine Munthe
- Short talk by Greenhouse co-director Finn Arne Jørgensen, “Humanistisk miljøforskning for en ny verden”
- Short talk by Greenhouse co-director Dolly Jørgensen, “Environmental humanities as space for interdisciplinarity and longue durée thinking”
Afterwards, there will be light refreshments and opportunities for talking and socializing. The Greenhouse Library (HG O-214) will be open for visitors.
The event will be held in both Norwegian and English, and is open to everyone. Students are particularly welcome!
